Only Librariens can take force weapons. Did you mean power weapons?

GK sarges can take force weapons, you know....
You may not see us
But we'll be there
You may not feel us
But you will care

Your shots will not hit us
We are shapes in the mists
Blink and you'll miss us
For we are the Ghost Fists!

technically all Grey Knights have force weapons, but the way it works is that it only works as a force weapon (i.e., if you pass your test and they fail their save they instant death,) if you give it to a brother captain or above. Otherwise its just a S6 CC weapon for the troopers, and counts as a S6 power weapon for the justicar. Regular space marine sargents cannot take force weapons.

all GK's carry force weapons. The Justicars, Termies, and Brother Captians all carry power weapons.

That was what I just explained only it made no sense.

ALL Grey Knights carry things called Nemisis Force Weapons, but they work differently depending on who is using them. Regular GKs just count them as S6, Justicars count them as S6 power weapons, Brother Captains and Grand Masters count them as S6 force weapons.

lalala, off topic. ill start it up again... hmmm, lets see...
oh yeah.

today, i was playing a small game of combat patrol with my mate. he had guard and i was using tau, my army consisted af 12 fire warriors and a piranha. he had 20 guardsmen and a command HQ. sounds unfair right?

anywho, on the second turn a deep striked my piranha so i could shhot right at the gaurdsman, but i had a little trick up my sleeve, even if the chances of it working wer 6 to 1. on the second turn i managed to deep strike my piranha right infront of his melta gun person, who happend to be right near one of the other guard squads. he destroyed my piranha with the vehicle explodes! result.
and took out his command squad and most of the other guard squad with it.

Super suicide bomb! Thats like charging the tau with a rhino, having the tac squad assualt them, and watching the rhino explode next turn from a hammerhead ordance/submunitions shot. The tau all died, and the marines brushed the shrapnel off. They were left with no one to assualt.
Pokemon are like zombies that breed... when you think you've finally seen the last of them, they come back, more than before and just as creepy.

I (playing SMs) had a really interesting approx. 500 points game with my friend from the IG, introducing his new army and my brandnew terminator librarian and a unit of 5 sniper scouts.

The game started really bad for me, for I was so busy getting my tac squads into cover (basilica administratum in the middle of the small table) and charging my librarian towards his heavy weapons platforms, located next to his leman russ, that I did a bad job in moving my scouts, so there they were, no cover, right in front of the darn leman russ and heavy weapons (all rocket launchers btw, he loves them) and while I managed to kill a few unimportant infantry guys, he absolutey annihilates my scouts with his russ: 4 out of 5 dead, the last one fleeing from the table....
Then, my tac squads being busy killing more and more guardsmen, my librarian attacks the heavy weapon teams and kills... ONE member of ONE rocket launcher. his turn. buddy thinks to himself: hey, my leman russ kill his librarian, 'cuz it's very strong.... so he decides to shoot The Big Gun at him. what happens: librarian down to 2 wounds, 2 more rocket launcher guys dead *harharhar*
the next turns he tries to hit me again, but scatters into the blue everytime, bolters and lascannon don't hit. he gets to hit me though with one of his missles, 'nother wound lost....
after that, I kill all of the rocket launchers, the leman russ still doesn't hit, all but 5 of his guardsmen are dead, so are most of my space marines, my lib tries to get into cc a last time but is to far away, so I think: no prob, they only got lasguns..... NEVER EVER say something like that. from the 5 guardsmen, only one hit (4+), but he also wounded me (5+) and I ****ed up my armor save(2+), eventualy losing my last wound and therefore being perished in the most unheroic way I can imagine (except maybe dying from a grot attack).

the game ended in a draw for I only had one SM standing at the end of the game...

Well, my first post.
Was playing an apocalyps game agains choas. Deep strike termies into middle of their ranks cause 2 deaths. Most of the army attacks me, killing all termies. Then several baneblade on the other side of the table decided to shoot the chaos, that were all in a nice tight circle thanks to me. WE WON.

Also, almost every game i play, i put my vet's in a razorback, and by turn 2 the tank is dead. Used this to bottleneck orks once, but y my tank? y?

Well I'm still new to the 40k game, seeing as I've only played one teaching game and two actual games. All three games happened to be played with my boyfriend's Tyranids since I don't have my own army.

Whenever we played and I used the army's Genestealers, I would have to use their fleet of claw in order to try reaching some of my boyfriend's Kroot mercenaries. However every time I rolled for their fleet of claw, they rolled a one no matter what.

The other funny thing that had happened was that while I was measuring to move a squad of Gaunts, my hand brushed up against my Hive Tyrant (the previous Hive Tyrant, not the newest one), somehow knocking his head clean off his body. We had set his head back on and made sure not to move him too much for the rest of the battle. However after his head got knocked off, every time I tried using his psychic attack to take down my boyfriend's Kroot army, his psychic attack kept missing.

The moral of the story is that Genestealers have a really bad fleet of claw and act like this.
Genestealers: Alright! Let's run into battle! *normal 6 inch movement* Well we didn't attack so "Fleet of Claw!" *fleet of claw 1 inch movement* .... *gasping for breath* Too much movement. That's enough for now. *half the Genestealers are passed out from moving that 1 inch*

The other moral is that if your Hive Tyrant loses his head, his psychic attacks really suck.

Never underestimate the Tyranids

Postby ToonMissy » Wed Dec 19, 2007 2:14 am

Well my boyfriend and I had ended up going to a tank battle last weekend and we went our Tyranids, since the Monstrous creatures in their army list are technically their tanks.

Because we weren't limited on points, my boyfriend insisted that he buy the items needed, and build his winged Hive Tyrant for the battle the next day. After three hours of gluing, posing, and fixing 'green stuff' to the the Tyrant in order to put Warhammer Fantasy high elf dragon wings onto the Tyrant, we finally got to bed at 2 AM. Then we had to get up three and a half hours later in order to drive one of his friends to work on time. Then once we got back, there was having to prime the model, then sleep until 11 AM, then take a few more hours to paint the thing.

There was an hour left of the tank battle by the time we got there and so we jumped right in. We were the only 'nids there and we only had seven models between us. The Eldar models from Forgeworld couldn't be hurt by anything, so they were left alone. No one viewed us as threats, but they got pissed off at me when my twin Carnifexs wouldn't die as they had regenerate and were in Synapse range of my own Hive Tyrant (which is merely called a Dominatrix).

The other players were starting to fear us when, in one turn, my boyfriend's two Hive Tyrants had destroyed two Tau tanks and made the strongest Imperial Guard tank (I think it was called a Beyblen or something? I apologize if that's incorrect, I didn't quite hear them when they said it; and am not an Imperial Guard player. My army eats them.) go apocalyptic. Both of the Tyrants were close combat types, and most players then tried to destroy the 'nids, since they seemed to prove the biggest threat. However, most of the others players couldn't tell the difference between a Tyrant and a Carnifex.

Space Marine Player: I'll shoot down that Carnifex!
HarpieMaster (boyfriend's online screenname): That's a Tyrant.
SMP: What's the difference?
HM: A lot of pain and destruction. Plus the Tyrants have Synapse while the Carnifexs don't.

Imperial Guard player: You have to remove your bug, I just instant killed it!
ToonMissy: You can't instant kill my Carnifexs since they're within Synapse range.
IGP: *measures the 12" required for a creature to be in Sypanse, which both Carnifexs are* Damn....
TM: That's one wound on my Carnifex, and soon my Carnifex gets to shoot off it's Venom Cannon, and you're in range.

They feared us in the end, even if we didn't win the tank battle after it ended. Our next plan is to bring our several Monstrous Creatures, but also get the Gargantuan Creatures from Forgeworld. Much pain and suffering when the Heirophant named Squeaky and the bubblegum pink Ripper (which is really a Norn Queen), Deathbringer, come to the tank battles. (The joke is that the tales of Norn Queens being these monstrous Tyranids is overly exaggerated. Hence the use of a Ripper being all brains, fangs, and claws as the Norn Queen)
The start of my all powerful Tyranid Army: Gimpy the Ravener. Next up is Lord Buffington the Carnifex!
