I was playing Necrons vs. Black Templars at a tourny when he charged my Necron Lord w/Lightning Field with his Emporer's Champion. He goes first hitting and wounding me with two attacks, my Lord as usual totally wiffs with all attacks, then I check for the lightning field, get two wounds, and he proceeds to roll snake eyes for his armour saves. Got to love it when they kill themselves for you :)

It was turn four of the game my entire army was destroyed except for two guardsmen one with flamer and one with a lasgun the game was an assassination scenario. My opponate sent forth his mighty Nurgle Chaos lord to finish off the last four guardsmen who promptly kill the chaos lord and then run off the bord escapeing retribution and winning me the game. We called it a draw though because my opponate still had most of his army left.

Edit: Renembered another one.

Another assassination scenario this time my opponate was trying to assassinate my Heroic Senior Officer. Foolishly I had decided to include a commissar in my force and on the first turn...

I'm just new to WH40k playing,but there's some nice stuff I'd seen:

1.In a kill-team game I saw 6 DA Marines wiped out all 15-men IG by losing only 5 men in 3 turns.

2.In a Necrons vs DA,8 Cron Warriors get shot down but then 7 come back to life.

3.In the same game,8 Scarab Swarm were wiped out when they attack a T squad in CC,for only killed 1 T.

Now here's mine in a 2v2 game last Saturday:Tau(me) and Ultramarines vs Blood Anges and CSM(Black Legion). We limit our forces for 1 HQ,1 Elites,2 Troops and 1 Fast Attack.

1.The CSM player called his CSM "cannon-fodder" but he killed off about 11 FW in my team.

2.You better think about that is my dice get cursed for a Crisis team and Shas'O with all Missile+Plasma can only kill about 11 CSM in 2 teams in 4 turns.......

3.Same about my dice, the CSM used my dice for his CSM Armour saves(3+) rolls and failed almost all.Afterwards,he and his ally didn't use my dice anymore. When they picked up my dice and looked at them, they'll put them down and used their own dice instead, and said that my dice are "cursed" if used by enemy.

4.Ultra DN vs Daemon Prince.
The DN shot its Twin-Las at the Prince but failed to wound.
Prince went into CC (OMG it has about 11 attacks) but can't penetrate DN's armour.
DN stroke back,no wound.
And in the next turn the Prince blew the DN up without suffering a single wound.

5. 9 CSM/PSM with Chaos Wind Deep Striked at my back(but very near to the table edge) and killed off my 3 Crisis Suits. And then it took me and my ally an entire 2 turns to wipe them out, finally by Ultras in CC.It pissed me off very much, since I'll have to put my 'O and a FW team shooting at the back while the CSM advanced.

6.The game didn't end properly, since the CSM player had been took away by his mom and gf,most probably.

Enjoy. :D
Horus was weak.Horus was a fool.
He had the whole galaxy within his grasp and he let it slip away.

I have a great Land Raider one to share:

I was playing my mates Space Wolves with my guard, set at 1000pts, in 4th Ed. The bloke I was playing had a Land Raider, a Venerable Dread and a Razorback, and my only AT weapons are a pair of missile launchers and a meltagun in a kasrkin squad...

Suffice to say, the Chimera for the Kasrkins got immobilised on the first turn, so I was down to a pair of missile launchers - The first shot smashed into the Land Raider and rolled a "6" on the glancing table, resulting in it turning into a big smoking... well, you know. The other missile launcher glanced and destroyed the Razorback as well, and the Venerable Dreadnought?Charged the Kasrkin, and they Krak Grenaded it, immobilised it, and on the next round of combat, destroyed it :).

1 chaplain finds himself cut off, surrounded by 4 mobs of greenskins, and the warboss. (playing against speed freaks) It was hilarious, its a 1 foot wide ring of orks, and my chaplains little crozius sticking out of the middle. Funniest thing was, he saved every attack from the warboss, and everyhting, then a basic boy with a shoota whacks him twice, wounds twice, and... snake eyes x_x.

Oh, this is about the uber rhinos.

A guy from our local store has rhinos that never, ever, ever fail a difficult terrain test, immobilization test, or lose weapons. They drive up and over buildings, smash walls, ram trees, and basically plough through minefields. They get shot by lascannons, dark lances, melta guns, and attacked my melta bombs, powerfists and avatars. Only ONCE have they been destroyed, always making saves of "stunned, or shaken" + extra armor. We call them the Space wolf Ninja Rhinos.

The whole army can be wiped out, but the rhinos will still drive around.

Thats a funny story.

I'm a new player, and all I have is a small Eldar (also known as those pointy eared gits) force - 500 pts if I use every model. Well, in a game vs Tyranids, I charged my storm guardians with Warlock into combat with a medium-size squad of gaunts (they had been a large squad, but shooting whittled 'em down), the 'nid player starts laughing at me, "You're getting closer to them? Oh, well, your funeral" sort of thing. The storm guardians proceed to wipe out the entire squad with no casualties, and then charge a close-combat Carnifex, killing it by my next turn. The Hive Tyrant then charges them, and loses one wound before mopping them up, and by now the HT is the last thing on the board. I've charged my defender guardians into combat to support the storms, and they proceed to take two wounds off the HT, leaving one left. The Tyrant then plods towards my Dark Reapers squad, who get two turns of shooting against it, but fail to take that last wound off, leaving the HT to get into CC, slaughtering the Reapers.

The really funny thing was that in his last game, the 'nid player had ripped through a much more experienced player virtually using just his HT and its' two guards.

Oh well, it was funny to me, anyway, the look on his face as my 8-point Storm guardians ripped his Carnifex apart.

hi guys. this heres my first post so im gonna make it good.

once in a small scale campaign some friends were holding one battle ended hilariously: it was dark eldar vs. imperial fists (banana marines) and the fists got wiped out in the first round of shooting not one bolter was fired!

about the seccond quote in my sig: Earl is indeed a character in my army he is a crazed redneck recruited from an agri-world (kabaal II) he hates orks because they killed his parents and makes khorne bezerkers say "now thats just over the top!" you guys would love to see the faces of every single person i show him to and for the record (if you know me youl get it) "yes it is a straw hat!"

another time in that same campaign i was wiped out by orks so the next game (i was playing the same ork enemy) i had added a small flag to earls banner it read "REVENGE!"

im currently working on a new veteran sergent model based on kharn the betrayer (i had the model and had no better use for it) when its done ill post some pics

in one of my squads the heavy weapon guy is carrying a las-cannon off a land raider, the damn thing it bigger than him!

somewhere i have a photo of me from games day 2004 trying to give bunny ears to that giant ultramarine they had standing in the middle of the floor

at that games day i was it the forge world booth looking at concept sketches for the tyranid bio-titan i turned to the guy sitting there and said "hmm whoever sketched this mustave been checking out those half-life 2 previews huh?" "what do you mean?" he said. so i replied "well look at this exept for the fact that its torso is longer its a carbon copy of that strider thing" "umm well i guess... it.. might... no, no its definetly not" "umm?" " its in no way a half-life 2 strider, ever" then we both had ourselves a hardy chuckle (btw: the actual moddel looks quite different from the concept sketch i saw the sketch was so definetly a strider)

well thats all for now if i come up with more ill post em

Got a few good ones from a mega-battle a few months back, my first game for three years.

First of all, the sides made no sense. Everyone had brought their entire armies and totalled up the points, then we tried to loosely balance the two teams. One team was fine, being 2 Eldar, an Imperial Guard, an Armoured Company and some Black Templars. The other team consisted of a Kult of Speed Ork army, a group of Tyranids, my own Chaos horde, and the Space Wolves.

The game was an objective-capturing one, with each deployment zone counting as one and three scenery pieces across the middle of the battlefield being others. Points were awarded based on what was controlled at the end of the game. Eldar players on the other side got to every objective first, so it was us who would be fighting for control.

Now, the silliness:
My horde was tasked with taking the right, a bridge. The first units to reach were the raptors, my 6-man jump pack elites. They got slaughtered by Dark Reapers, down to 2 men. Facing a leadership penalty, they still stayed in the fight. I decided to keep the special weapon guys, as they wouldn't be much use in combat now. Next turn, they both fired...the meltagun missed outright, and the plasma gunner blew himself up.

Net result: No damage to the enemy, and a meltagun-equipped raptor spending the rest of the battle running away.

Soon after this, the main body of my army arrived. The Eldar player on the objective gazed coolly on as three Land Raiders turned up, before telling me about Bright Lances being a Strength 8 weapon which reduce armour values to 12. His shooting began, and a lot of Lances opened up

I've never seen so many threes rolled in my life, and this was repeated over multiple turns.

Meanwhile, the orks on the left had reached that objective and were locked in close combat with more Eldar. In one round of combat, the Eldar managed to get 5 ones and a two to hit, while the Orks managed 6 ones. Neither hit each other for that one round.

During that turn, my Obliterators managed to successfully deep strike right behind a Baneblade, close enough for twin-linked meltaguns to cause massive damage. One unhealthy Baneblade resulted, and then came enemy shooting. A good quarter of their collected armies' guns must have fired on the poor guys before they actually died.

well, we were playing a gamma "seek & destroy", and i was in the lead, it was a 1500 game and it was turn 6.

so what happens is that we roll for the random game lenght, and go on to turn 7.

what happened was that for basically the entirety of the game, my helios ( a land raider variant with godhammers and a whirwind on the top) had been hammering his vindicator in its side, with its lascanon, HAD NOT BEEN ABLE TO MAKE A DENT IN IT!! while the vindicator was equally useless, as the one time it had not missed its penetrating ordnance hit, had only stunned a rhino.

now this bring us to turn 7, i was in the lead, that is until his (the only thing in his army which could actually harm my LR) vindicator turned, lobbed a single shell, hit, and blew my 250+ helios to oblivion, since nobody, from neither army, hit anything else at all, that one shell turned a fairly solid victory, into a dang draw, since there was no turn 8!!

although i didnt like it, i did find that little episode to be quite amusing.

Hi!
I have a coupel of tau ones.
In one of my first Tau games ever (against Space Marines) my entier army (except my Shas'o) got killed in turn 4 only killing 300-400pts marines outof 1500... so just for the fun of it we decided to play untill my opponent managed to kill my Shas'O, witch took 2-3 houers more... my Shas'o killed his entier army execpt his force commander witch i assulted in the end....
I have nerver see so many 1'ns and 2s rolled for to-hit....

Some yeras ago two of my friends dicided on a unholy-allinece to kill my (extremly (un)lucky) Tau once n for all... (apparently they were bored...and invented the perfect anti-tau tactic...) Marines and Khorn vs my Tau.... a full squad of Gun Drones managed to kill 10 Khorn Bikers in HtH, and laiter allmoast killing 10 more SM bikers (the bikers fled from my drones...)... In the end i lost allmoast my entier army to the surviving SM bikers... Since that day everyone had a new respect for the tau Drones....

My friend play Tau and he's cursed! We called it:

<echo> THE PIGEON!!!! </echo>

Every game the first time he hit with a marker light and launch a seeker-missile or the Big Railgun of his Hammerhead, it just can't do otherwise than miss, always that natural 1 to mess with him.

What should have been a routine hand to hand slaughter goes terribly wrong...

In a game with my Dark Eldar vs. Tau, my Archon and a squad of Incubi charge a unit of about 8 or so tau. Now mind you, an Archon and Incubi are probably the baddest badasses in hand to hand in the game... The tau squad proceeds to kill ALL of the incubi, causing enough wounds where I lost the combat! My archon then fails his leadership and decides to hightail it out. The 3 or 4 remaining Tau don't have anything else in range to shoot at, so they decide to shoot the Archon in the back as he runs. No biggie, the Archon has a shadowfield.

Shadowfield fails, Archon dies.

okay heres some more hilarity
one at a campaign i say a tau player who was using eldar wraithlords to proxy some battle suits, 3 battle suits 2 were wraithlords now for the funny part of those 2 wraithlords 1 was a proxy being used by the eldar player it was a space marine painded in biel-tan colours
so he had a proxy proxying a proxy, confused? we all were

i have a chaplain in my army he's 145 points (under the new codex) of pure masacre uppon charging he gets 5 power weapon attack plus the 2 hits from his master crafted storm bolter before he charges now once i was playing my friends who has some banana marines (imperial fists) and i think it was a devastator squad i was after anyway i fired the storm bolter he hits on 2's i roled 2 ones so i re roled due to master craftedness a 1 and a 3 (or 5 i cant remember either way it hit) it failed to wound so i charged my 5 power weapon attack all mised then his 10 or so attacks from the squad killed him about 5 times over! i was so sad i charged my tactical squad into him and basically neither one of us did anything notable in the ways of damage for the rest of the game!
my first game was a memerable one

once i was playing a multiplayer game of fire warrior and i managed to kill 5 people (me included) with one shot! basically we all ran into eachother and i fired some serious misile the game almost crashed from the lag! (but my pc is pretty slow)

well thats all for now bye

I was playing against my imperial guard friend with my orks.

Right after my Waeboss charged and blew up his leman russ, one of his basilisks had the warboss right in its LOS. Looking through the blast screen on the cannon, my warboss was perfectly lined up with the gun. Needless to say the warboss went bye bye, along with his whole squad.
