I've got more armies than I'll play with, so the Necrons are going. And they were my first army I EVER PAINTED, awww.....

Won a couple of appearance awards with these... that's saying a lot for Necrons, IMHO. And the crashed Monolith is a long story, but I put it out there after my Monolith gets lascannoned to death thanks to my friend Jason, whose Space Wolves murderized the poor thing top of turn 1 three games in a row.

The army consists of....

1 Monolith (intact)
1 Monolith (crashed)
40 Necron warriors
3 Scarab Swarms (lots of scarabs per base)
8 1/2 Necron Immortals
3 Heavy Destroyers
6 Destroyers (painted)
2 Necron Lords (2 different models)
1 Necron Codex

PM me if you're interested, I'm flexible on price.

Photos of the army. All the models are very shiny metallic silver - I used oil paint - with a blue/purple ink wash over it (fading effect). Very cool looking, but also very hard to capture in photos. The Monolith is covered in gold leaf with a blue/purple sunburst effect on it. If you saw my posts about my other armies (chaos fishmen, and lava space marines), you know I always have to throw something weird in there.

The monolith is beautiful, love the starburst effect.

If I had any money, I'd buy it!

But, i don't, and I live quite a long way away from you.....

But Great JOB!!
You may not see us
But we'll be there
You may not feel us
But you will care

Your shots will not hit us
We are shapes in the mists
Blink and you'll miss us
For we are the Ghost Fists!

Well, they're both a good choice to start with because they're easy to paint and easy to make an army list that won't get you murderized every game. I figured as a newbie, an army that came back from the dead wasn't all bad. :)

Hahaha, very true! Is the destroyed monolith a scratch-build or did you actually go out and buy a 55 dollar modle fo the sole purpose of hacking it to bits?
And yes, coming back from the dead is a good way to start an army. :) You're very talented, especially consitering that this is your first army!

hey, ya know what? I bet that necrons are just really space marines without power armor. I mean, really, doing the emperor's bidding constantly has to be a bit stressful. What do space marines to do unwind? take off the power armor, grab a flayer, and go on a blood harvest.

I HAVE EXPOSED THE BIGGEST CONSPIRACY OF THE 41'ST...

Then why do:

1. SM's bleed
2. SM's dont come back from the dead
3. SM's dont randomly shoot out green energy
4. SM's DO take off their armor and they are human, in the Uriel Ventris sagas, his first mate P-something takes off his armor and gets a knife and carves the aquila into his chest
5. Is the Apothocary needed if they can come back

I could think of more, but not right now.

THose are really good, I have some Tau that I tried to paint....and its........bad..........
lets just say I managed to make a shade of gray that is the exact same shade of the model unpainted. :x

those are really good!

When beset by Doubt

Maybe not Space Marines... But what about Khorne Berzerkers....humm...
They have no Apothocary, look for cool skulls like the ones on necrons, and i would hate to see what those guys look like under their power armour

I was born with mad mad skillz....

No, actually, I had been painting figures for D&D for about 6 years before I started with 40k, so lots of practice. =)

That would help a ton. You've really got good skills. I mean skillz.

And i'm not in the mood to argue about which is better, khorne or the imperium. I know the truth and it doesnt matter if you do or not, as the blood god will conquer (and decapitate) all.

If you can grab a whole army in one go without damaging any of the models, than you DESERVE to have it. That would take some skill.

By the way, I just landed a job this summer, and I was batting around the idea of buying some models... How much are you offering it for?
