I haven't decided on a name yet. I'm oscillating between The DEATH HANDS of the Emperor or the BLACK HANDS of the Emperor. Anyway. Here are the completed squads and my Chapter Commander.

Tell me what you think.

Yeah, remember what I was telling you about an ink wash? That's the technique I used here. So if that effect is to your liking I say give it a shot.

Yah, the ink washes work really well. can you use normal paint and thin it to make an ink wash?

i hear that you can. I don't cause I went and bought inks and I have yet to use them all the way. Where as I have bought several jars of black and metallic. I would say buy the inks. You get your money's worth. And you don't have to worry about consistence.

i like them, very good. may i recomend not using the name black hands of the emperor. I prefer the other one. Good paint job.

yeah death hands tickles my fancy more thank Black Hands. Cause... why not just call them the Black Fists and be a Spin off of the Imperial Fists?

I need to find a site that has an array of decals. I'm thinking of using the Iron Hands stuff. Cause it's essentially a big giant hand. But I may just construct one out of plasticard and greenstuff. Once I get around to buying plasticard and greenstuff that is.

As always, your painting is better than mine. really like the color scheme.

Coming from an artistic standpoint, I would like to see one of the figures in a particularly violent pose, a nice contrast to the soft colors.

He means put one of your guys in a pose like he's about to decapitate somebody or something. You know, like in about half a second someone's going to die horribly and painfully at this guys hands. It'll contrast with the relatively soft, unintimidating colours of the army.

And go with Death Hands. Black Hand is sort of Mafia sounding, and would be better served if used with a mob-themed army.

Half the tac squads shown are from the Battle For MacCragge set. Which is why they are so ... plain.

Here is the first guy I ever did any conversion work on. It was minor but I love how he turned out.

Also, if you go "Black Hands" it will seem like you basing it off the Pre-WWI group "The Black Hand" Lol XD
