The Plague is Lit!!!

Postby gwpainter » Tue Nov 20, 2007 11:44 am

I have been working on a group of plague marines and in the distant past, I saw an article about a dude putting lights in a Tzeentch mini and was inspired. So I put one surface mount LED in the head of the Nurgle champion of this squad. I also used tester's clear parts /window maker glue to put lenses back into the helmet. The battery is in the base along with a switch that is way too small. You can see the blue switch out the side of the base. I had lots of fun getting the wires run thru the legs, but it was worth the 3 weeks of prep and painting. Here are some links:

Enjoy now, cause the plague is coming!

It glows! that is awesom.

Ive seen someone put lights on a Land Raider (in honor of this comic), and now they are being put on the minis. I wonder if GW will start putting out "official" lights to consume that market.

good job, so to put lights in do you have to hollow out some part of the mini?

yes, i hollowed out the right leg and the chest is in two pieces anyway. the wires come out the bottom of the boot into the base.
