Acolytes Of Fuchismo

Postby ragingpotato » Thu Nov 23, 2006 5:07 am

These are my space marine army, the Acolytes of Fuchismo, formerly known as the Desert Dragons, formerly known as the Desert Dragoons, formerly known as the Desert Snakes, formerly known as the Rattlesnakes. They have gone through more names than the Black Legion.

They were once a loyal chapter, devoted to the emperor, based off the planet Desert World XXV until it was destroyed by some sort of giant warp beast snake dragon kind of thing. Luckily the entire population consisted of one man and 37 chickens. Despite this the Desert Dragoons, as they were known at the time, changed their names to the Desert Dragons and swore to hunt down this terrible beast. This was going quite well up until about 20 minutes later when the beast returned to the warp. Having nothing better to do (the Emperor had said he would "call back" about their next assignment. This was 500 years ago) dissent soon grew in the chapter and they tread the path of the chaos. Unfortunately, having seen them in their only engagement fighting off a rebellion (over 300 space marines were lost but only 17 chickens were killed), none of the major chaos gods wanted them. So they turned to the little known, fifth chaos god, Fuchismo, unholy lord of potatoes and potato products. The chapter master (Big Jim) found big brass arrows and runes tacky so they basically kept their standard gear.

To this day they stand battle ready on Desert World XXVI, after receiving the mission from almighty Fuchismo to "Chill for a sec, I'm playing my XBOX 40,000". When that day comes when their god finished playing Halo 6, they will be ready to send forth (or possibly gather, no one's really sure), SPUDS FOR THE SPUD GOD!

I will post picturess later, but they are a light tan color with green helmets and shoulderpads. Their chapter symbol isa potato, usually covering a dragon, which is covering a shield, which is covering a snake. (they just paint right over the old symbols.)

Really dark pic, but looking......OK, provided you were going for a camouflage scheme. If not......focus your paints......
(Shouldn't they be brown or yellow? Like, potatoes?)

Just in case you didn't know, its a thumbnail so clicking will enlarge it. But the pic is pretty dark because there is poor lighting in my room.
As for color, sort of a brownish tan. IT actually varies because some of the older ones I painted with Snakebite Leather but the more recent ones are Desert Yellow

Your dreadnoughts should be real potatoes with a power claw/fist and a lascannon stuck to them.

Sadly, do to budget cuts, the chapter cannot afford a dreadnaught. Usually their fallen warriors are thrown into the dumpster behind Earl's Steakhouse on Desert World XXVI. The chapter's techmarines (Hank and Wedge) have been working on a defiler however, they have the body and have taped a sign on the back saying "Possess me" and they are crossing their fingers.

If your wondering why the geneseed is not harvested it is because their only source of aspirants is pretty much Earl, his dog Buddy, and Old Man Jenkins down the street and they have yet to do anything heroic.

Update: In what may be the bloodiest game in history, my entire army was wiped out in the first turn in a game against Imperial guard..
I did not think it was possible.

Oh yes it is.
I've done it many, many times with my IG.
What did he take?
If you want, I'll PM anyone who wants my list, so they can see why I'm so infamous and evil at my gaming club.

Or....is there a specific rule that stops me from posting points values? I know there is on B&C, and on WIP, but are we really that serious here?

Yeah, but that would take a lot of editing, and I'm pretty lazy, so you won't be expecting that anytime soon....

I don't think you can take fifteen Defilers in a 1500 points game...
