Knights of St. Nicholas

Postby Teroniss » Sat Dec 02, 2006 8:14 pm

Hey there. Ive read TSOALR for a while, but I've never really had a chance to post cuz I don't go on Forums alot. Anyways, I saw this part of the forum and decided my army had to be posted. I started on it aproximately 1 year ago after I had my wisdom teeth removed. I was heavily medicated at the time and had a head cold, making me a bit deranged. Anyways, allow me to introduce the Knights of St. Nicholas:

Here's a repost of the images of the army in better quality.

We start with Santa Librarian. Since this picture, I've redone his paint job some, adding a few shading techniques to improve his look.

Next, we have the Sleigh Speeder, complete with goodies bag.

Here we have a close-up of the Standard Bearer for the army.

Finally, here we have a larger view of the army, including several different models that have been finished such as the Dreadnought and Razorback Sleigh.

The rest of the army follows a similiar design, with wreaths and tensil on my razorback, X-Mas Tree Drop Pod, and Snowmenators[/url]

The conversions themselves are rather easy, I used green stuff to form the hats and cand canes. Took some torn towel to make Santa Librarians rope, and took a citadel winter tree terrain to make the top of the dreadnaught. The weapons, i used paperclips to form the candycanes and make the chain for the dreadnaught. I also used paperclips with green stuff to form Rudolphs horns. I also took some pieces from some black templars to use on the Santa Librarian. The front cloth, purity seals and chained scroll on his side were all bits from Black Templars.

I also have a couple of land speeders which I cut out the back of, then sewed together some red cloth to make 2 sacks as well as used paperclips to make Streamers going down the side.

I still have a bit left to make. The Snowmenators have not even been primed yet, and I still need the materials to make my X-mas Tree Drop Pod. All in all, out of 48 figs, i have about 30 done

Not really, if I had alot of time on my hands, it wouldn't have taken me a year to finish 30 models.
