Very shiney bolter... :D

Are they eyes supposed to be black or are they not painted yet?

If they are, maybe add a little dot or grey/white to show a glint or reflection on it.

Maybe blackwash the crevices of the armor to add more depth to the model.

Just extremley water down black.

And please don't buy inks all they are is watered down paint that you can make your self. Just put a LITTLE paint on your paint mixing surface and add drops of water with an eye dropper until it is the right consistencey.

Then aply to the area you want the detail. Go back and touch up where the balck darkened the areas that are flat.

Cool, duely noted.

Next question, how best to paint banners? I was thinking of painting the whole thing Bleached Bone, then drawing in pencil a loose outline of what I want, then filling it in. Advice?

you could do that, for my banner, I just focussed really hard on the Imperial Fist symbol, then traced an outline with skull white, then filled it in. Are you adding the wings onto the RHCP logo? Because if you do then you probably need to lighlty sketch it. If not, then you could paint the 8 pointed star straight on. You should make a cool banner bearer too, and show him here.

2 things
1- did not know about the water-down-paint-to-make-ink thing, i'll have to try that
2- why do you have a pegasus knight in a space marine army?

Paint the banner as you would without the design. Then sketch out the design on the banner with a pencil that has really soft graphite. Then of course paint the design.

You can get pencils with softer graphite at crafts store with the drawing supplies.

Two things. :)

Firstly, Iconigraphy. Emperor's Wings? Wings for a Pegasus? Eh? Eh?!

Secondly, I am not limited to one army. I mearly wish to see if I can paint fantasy models.. I just keep delaying the actual painting of the Pegasus wings, etc.

Well I certainly havent limited myself to one army (or even one genre).
However, I did not know (or, more likely, forgot) that your chapter was called the emperor's wings. I just thought of them as the Duffmarines
EDIT: Oh hey, its all over your sig and avatar, I guess I never noticed
