So, how many layers of basecoats and highlights before you can say, "I painted this and I am done adding paint" without feeling guilty?

Of the base coat, and if i'm painting it well, i'll do about 4-5 coats, often drybrushing before doing the trim. Once that's done i'll do the metallics then drybrush highlights, then polish them off.

Update time.

I've got 2 razorbacks, and a Predator to show you folks next. The razorbacks are nearly done, and the Predator i'm a bit slow on advancing, having never painted one before!

Both Razorbacks are armed with heavy Bolters and Stormbolters (although one of them has a little converstion where I ran out of a certain part). And the Predator has full Lascannons.

So, watch this space!

i never tend to do a base coat......... which is prob why i suck, haha. Like with my templars, i just used blood red (i think thats the name, ages since i used anything) and then red gore, and thats normal, or does that count as a base coat? lol
