8th Company.

I have a few of my models painted up, 3 in total. I finally found a worthy camera! I've included a picture of Sargeant Meristem, Scout trooper Jenkins (Leroy Jenkins), and Scout trooper Andreas. And also I figured, ultramarines use Marneus Calgar, so I should be able to feild Sequioa! So I even made myself a model for Sequioa, based on the winner of last years conversion contest. Yet he still has no head.

Here's the pictures for all you to dribble over:

Sequioa; Image

Tell me what you think.

The scouts look really good. I like how you did the eyes. Bases are a real plus also. Did you have any trouble shading the pants and shoulder pads? They look shaded, they may not be. I bet you will clear that up for me.
The beakie guy looks good also. But i do not like that armour style and can not put an opinion on it.
Can not wait to see what you do with the leader dude.
The defination of Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Yeah everything's shaded. Not to hard, it only gets hard when you mess up because I work with lots of layers. I've just noticed that the running scout looks weird because of the way I took the picture. :P What do you mean by the armour style? Is it the shoulder pads and all the skulls? If so I can't really do much about that because it's the limited ed' model you get with the white dwarfe subscription.
I'm thinking of giving sequioa a red scorpion helm' just because my friend's got some spare, that's unless I find a nice helmet-less head.
Well thanks for the feedback, I should have a picture of the company tech' up soon. =]

Edit: Got some Termies in the painting queue now aswell. ;)

Thanks for the feedback guys, I'll be finishing a couple of termies on the weekend hopefully, so I'll post them up here. Sadly my tactical squad was murderised by excessive spraying... >.>
Oh and by the way for those who were wondering, dot 4 brake fluid works a treat for stripping paint off models. Just fill a tub with the stuff and leave the models in the over night, in the morning grab an old toothbrush and just rub the paint off. This worked perfect for my plastic marines and they're absolutely fine, not melted a bit.

the only thing that comes close to your painting skillz would be your skills at close up camera shots. How do you do it?

Great work. I am painting some EPS troops myself. I have a couple of old school heavy's (Bolter and Plasma), a squad of regular Marines and the Medic guy from the McCraggie box set, and an Emperor's Champion.

I wish I knew, I was literally sat there for hours trying to focus the camera. To bad that I don't know how I did, or I would have more pictures by now. ^^'

@Marquis: Nice, Pm me some pics? (:

Having looked at these pictures a few times I finally pinned it.

More layers on the crests.

That is all.

The right pad can be anything you want. I don't think I've gotten to the point of painting anything on my own EPS marines, so things like names, squad numbers, insults, pictures, whatever. As long as it remains family-friendly. No mommies need to come in the store and and be offended my space marines with, i don't know, boobies on their shoulder pads. So keep it cool, keep it real and take more pictures...
